Eike König

Eike König (*Hanau) is a world-renowned German graphic designer and university professor. With his creative collective HORT, which emerged from the Frankfurt techno scene in 1994, he formed a space for creatives and has reaped great success over the years with international clients such as the New York Times, the Bauhaus Museum in Dessau, Nike and Microsoft. Increasingly, Eike König devotes himself to artistic work, in which he succeeds in „embedding graphic design into the art context such that the two disciplines retain their characteristics and valency“ (Elmar Zorn). His works are dominated by an emotionally charged language, techniques of typography or pop art.
