press: Nadine Karl Artist Residency (Vilnius)

News — 03.10.26

Nadine Karl has joined the Užupis Art Incubator in Vilnius for an upcoming residency.

Located in the heart of Vilnius’ creative Užupis district, the Incubator is one of the largest art incubators in the Baltic States, bringing together more than 50 artists and creative professionals across disciplines. Its vibrant community encourages artistic exchange, collaboration, and experimentation, connecting local and international creative practices. Nadine’s residency will offer an opportunity to engage with this diverse artistic environment, develop new ideas, and contribute to the Incubator’s culture of dialogue and creative exchange. We look forward to seeing what emerges from this exciting chapter!

Based in Düsseldorf, Nadine Karl works across installation, sculpture and photography. Her spatial constructions bring memory, temporality and fiction into dialogue with sound, smell and tactile elements. From an ecofeminist perspective, her practice explores the relationships between bodies, environments and more-than-human agents. Karl studied with Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster and Gregor Schneider at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, where she was appointed Meisterschülerin and graduated in 2024. Her work has been exhibited at Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, Julia Stoschek Foundation, Langen Foundation, and the Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Residency Dates
October/November, 2026
