upcoming: Artist Talk with Camie Klein at Kunsthalle Mannheim

News 04.08.26

What remains?
Blood, soap, ceramics, and everyday objects – Camie Klein brings together materials that make the familiar appear anew. Between presence and absence, body and memory, a space emerges that resists clear-cut answers. What lies behind the works? How are they created? And what role do material, trace, and transience play?

Take the opportunity to experience a conversation with the artist Camie Klein, the curator Alessia Tardivo, and the gallerist Aileen Treusch. Learn firsthand more about the works, their creation, the ideas behind the exhibition »I Have Been You«, and gain fascinating insights into the artistic practice.

Camie Celine Klein is a multidisciplinary artist working across sculpture, installation, and performance. Her practice explores the tension between abstract systems and subjective experience, focusing on temporality, transformation, and physical presence. Her work engages material, kinetic, and auditory gestures at the intersection of sculpture and performance. Klein studies at Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach and has received the Helene Hecht Nachwuchspreis (City of Mannheim) and the Wasmer Family Sculpture Award (HfG Offenbach). Recent group exhibitions include Plurale at documenta Kassel. Upcoming solo exhibitions include a solo exhibition at the Studio, Kunsthalle Mannheim.
