press: Review of the House of Galleries 2026

News 06.03.26

The second edition of House of Galleries at the TRIANON high-rise was a success, welcoming over 5,000 visitors across four days and presenting 43 solo exhibitions on floors 42 to 44. The format proved its strength at the start of the art year, combining focused curatorial concepts with strong sales and dynamic exchanges. Visitors particularly appreciated the clarity of the solo presentation format, which allowed for deeper engagement with individual artistic positions. At the art dinner with 150 guests, Jacqueline Hen’s installation ‘One’s Sunset is Another One’s Sunrise’ shimmered like a Mediterranean sunset. Aileen Treusch from Galerie 3AP reflects: “As a young gallery, we focus on precision of content rather than mere presence. It was exciting to see how our solo presentation, in dialogue with other galleries, generated discussions, new contacts, and sales. The cooperative exchange on site reinforced this dynamic.” Heike Tosun from Soy Capitán Gallery noted: “We experienced House of Galleries as unusually focused. An open audience, lots of exchange, and a very welcoming atmosphere. It was particularly valuable for us to gain new collections and establish new connections.” Pay Matthis Karstens from Judin Gallery added: “A surprisingly harmonious and atmospheric format that attracted both experienced collectors and new art enthusiasts. With a sales rate of two-thirds, House of Galleries was also very satisfactory commercially for us. How wonderful that the courage to rethink the ‘fair’ format has paid off.”

The event demonstrated both conceptual precision and economic success, with the majority of galleries planning to return. The Frankfurt Art Experience continues with Saisonstart Frankfurt, September 4–6, 2026.
