Participation: Paper Positions Vienna

News 17.11.25

We were delighted to take part in the second edition of Paper Positions Vienna, following the fair’s debut last year. At the historic Semperdepot – once a production site for monumental stage sets – Galerie 3AP presented its curated format BLÜTENLESE. Over the course of the fair, three alternating shows unfolded, each centered on a concise selection of works in drawing, photography, and etching.

Each day, we reconfigured our booth – dismantling in the evenings and reinstalling in the mornings – presenting new constellations of works. This rhythm, almost performative in nature, transformed the given time restrictions into an integral aspect of the project.

The title Blütenlese refers to the act of choosing: individual works as poetic fragments that together form a vibrant reading of contemporary paper-based art.

Featuring Roberto Barbosa, Felix Findeiß, Nadine Karl, Toni Meyer, Julie Mia, and Lara Werth, the presentation highlighted the diversity of the medium: photography (Barbosa, Meyer, Karl), drawing (Werth, Mia), and etching (Findeiß). With BLÜTENLESE, Galerie 3AP introduced a model that, through temporal compression, generated new impulses for both visitors and exhibitors – in the spirit of paper itself: a fleeting, fast-moving, yet uniquely sensual medium.
