Participation: House of Galleries

News 26.01.26

Following the opening of our Frankfurt space in April 2025, Galerie 3AP was pleased to take part in the second edition of House of Galleries. For the occasion, we presented two complementary bodies of work by Jacqueline Hen, both engaging with perception as a spatial and temporal phenomenon.

On floor 42, the H-GR series explored the interplay of light, surface, and architecture through reduced, material-based image objects. Rather than functioning as fixed compositions, the works unfolded situationally: color and spatial effects emerge through movement, shifting light conditions, and the viewer’s changing position, framing perception as a relational and time-based process. Chromosphere (O) is another of Hen’s sun-related works, referencing the chromosphere, a transitional solar layer. With its glowing orange core, the installation oscillated between scientific observation and sensuous abstraction, evoking energy, perception, and presence.

The light installation One’s Sunset Is Another One’s Sunrise (Banquet Hall, floor 44) extended this inquiry to a planetary scale. Approaching light as a global rhythm, the work connected individual perception with collective time, foregrounding simultaneity, transition, and the coexistence of multiple temporal realities.

House of Galleries’ hybrid format – combining art fair, conference, and marketplace – provided a dynamic framework for exchange across more than 40 galleries distributed throughout the Trianon Tower. For our first participation, we invited Ruttkowski;68, who presented an independent program on the same floor, further enriching the dialogue.
