D Hólos erforscht die Zustände eines fiktiven Warteraums: die, in denen er sich befindet und die, die er auslöst. An diesem pragmatischen Ort scheint alles dem Diktat des Gewöhnlichen und Flüchtigen unterworfen zu sein, doch mindestens die Dinge sind verlässliche Charaktere. Sie lassen sich einordnen, passen sich ein oder brechen aus. Menschen sind allenfalls Beifang, Atmosphäre kommt und geht, Schönheit ist relativ. Die skulpturalen Umformungen, die dieser Raum als Protagonist durchlebt, erzeugen ein narratives Geflecht. Das bloße Material provoziert flüchtige Befindlichkeiten, die die Wartenden auszuhalten haben und die man kennt, vielleicht auch insgeheim genießt. Mal beherrscht der Raum, mal ist er sich selbst ausgeliefert, Nabelschau betreibt er jedoch immer irgendwie. Der Warteraum als isoliertes Filmset ist Modell einer größeren Wirklichkeit.

EN Hólos explores the states of a fictional waiting room: the ones it inhabits and those it evokes. In this pragmatic space, everything seems to be subject to the dictates of the ordinary and the fleeting, yet at least the objects are reliable characters. They can be categorized, fit in, or break out. People are at best incidental, atmosphere comes and goes, and beauty is relative. The sculptural transformations this space undergoes as a protagonist create a narrative web. The mere material provokes transient moods that the waiters must endure and that are familiar, perhaps even secretly enjoyed. Sometimes the space dominates, sometimes it is surrendered to itself, but it always engages in some form of introspection. The waiting room, as an isolated film set, is a model of a greater reality.

G10 / R 15 is an independent art space located at Grafenstraße 10, at the corner of Rheinstraße in Darmstadt. It regularly showcases emerging artistic perspectives through exhibitions, video installations, and performances in a vibrant storefront setting. By engaging directly with the street and its passersby, G10 breaks down traditional barriers to contemporary art. Drawing on the visual language of consumer culture, the space subverts its fast-paced dynamics—inviting reflection, interruption, and critical thought instead of acceleration.
