We are very happy that Felix Anatol Findeiß, Toni Meyer, and Julie Mia have been selected for the Young Collector’s Stand at Art Vilnius. You can find their works in Hall 5, Stand 5.26.
FELIX ANATOL FINDEIß born 1986, Berlin, Germany
Based in Munich, Felix Anatol Findeiß works across painting, sculpture, photography and video. His practice is rooted in an affinity for built space, bringing fragments of bodies and fiction into architectural formations. His works unfold as distillations of an isolated and ephemeral reality. Findeiß studied architecture at the Universität der Künste Berlin with Thomas Düllo, Alexandra Ranner and Florian Riegler. He further developed his focus on the intersection of architecture and art through the Elsa Neumann Scholarship in 2017.
TONI MEYER born 1988, Frankfurt am Main, Germany
Based in Munich, Toni Meyer works across photography, text, performance and video. Her multimedia practice examines environmental and social questions shaped by digital technologies and consumer culture. Using digital tools to transform everyday perceptions, Meyer moves between humour, exaggeration and dystopian visions of the future. Meyer studied at the Universität der Künste Berlin, Goldsmiths College London and the International Center of Photography, New York. Her work has been presented at the Senckenberg Nature Research Museum, Frankfurt. Selected distinctions include: City of Munich; Free State of Bavaria; Peace Research Institute (Leibniz Association).
JULIE MIA born 1988, Offenbach am Main, Germany
Based in Berlin, Julie Mia’s interdisciplinary practice extends into sculpture, photography and installation. Since the early stages of her career, she has explored the interplay between analogue and digital, translating between material, image and object. Everyday materials are transformed through layering, erasing and repainting, shifting between function and abstraction. Painting remains at the centre of her practice, informing her sculptures and installations as extensions of the painted image. Mia studied at Chelsea College of Art and Design and Camberwell College of Arts in London, and at Villa Arson, Nice. Selected distinctions include: the Lloyds Bank Award. Public-space installations include the Goldman Foundation for Art and Culture, Frankfurt/Main.
