Mira Siering and Nadine Karl transform the grounds of Simultanhalle into an installation, creating an artistic space for reflection in dialogue with one another and with the site. Siering’s sculptural practice is permeated by allusions to transience and natural processes. Through her references to geological and ecological contexts, her work highlights the coexistence of all life on micro- and macroscopic levels and explores cultures of remembrance and scientific visualisation. Inspired by ecofeminist schools of thought, Karl’s practice questions the anthropocentric worldview and hierarchical structures of the present in order to shift perspectives towards forms of coexistence and kinship based on fragility, empathy, and mutual care.
