Lara Werth: »Niemandsland« (upcoming, FFM)
opening 04 April 2025, 6-9 pm, press preview on request

We are delighted to announce the first exhibition in our new gallery space in Frankfurt am Main. With a solo show by Lara Werth, we would like to introduce the Rhine-Main art scene to a young emerging artist with whom we have been working successfully since the founding of our gallery in Düsseldorf 3 years ago. The subject of Werth’s works are deserted hidden object images of dystopian urban spaces, created with Edding, acrylic marker, chalk, oil pencil and ink on large-format paper. These detailed and infinitely intricate drawings bear witness to chaotic cityscapes and fragile balances of urban (sub)cultures. Using the medium of drawing, the exhibition „Niemandsland“ (No Man’s Land) poses questions about homeland (Heimat), travelling, a sense of belonging and the feeling of strangeness, but also nature as a refuge for mankind. Lara Werth graduated from Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in June 2024 with Katharina Wulff, previously studying with Siegfried Anzinger. We would like to take this opportunity to furthermore, congratulate the artist on the Van Rinsum Scholarship for Cité-Internationale-des-Arts, Paris, France (2024/2025) awarded by the VdDK; founded in 1844 to support emerging young artists.
