Frank Weidenbach
Frank Weidenbach (*1961 in Rieden/Eifel) lives and works in Düsseldorf. Coming from a minimalist approach, his sculptural forms refer to nothing other than what they are: open boxes, blocks, and relief plates. His work spans both linear drawing and the descriptive line that alludes to something beyond itself—the line that sketches landscapes. These landscape drawings, often created in series, explore a single motif with the simplest means. In addition, he is frequently involved in „Kunst am Bau“ (art in architecture) projects. Across all his work, he combines clarity of form, beauty in austerity, and an aesthetic rooted in reduction.
